E3 2016 TRAILERS: ‘Quake’, ‘Star Wars’, ‘Mass Effect 4’, ‘Titanfall 2’ and More

It’s that time of year when E3 rolls-around and game studios start showing off their upcoming releases and things currently in the works. Here’s a rundown of the some of the more interesting trailers that got released over the weekend.

First up is Bethesda Studios with their new revival game that started the multiplayer craze, Quake: Champions, along with the first gameplay reveal for Dishonored 2. They also announced new add-ons for Fallout 4 and Fallout Shelter, also the remastered version of Skyrim.

 

Quake. Is. Back.

The fast, skill-based arena-style competition that turned the original Quake games into multiplayer legends is making a triumphant return with Quake Champions. Running at an impressive 120hz with unlocked framerates, id Software’s new multiplayer shooter is getting ready to take PC gaming by storm once more.

Quake Champions features a roster of unique characters, each with their own distinctive abilities, allowing you to fight the way you want.

Reprise your role as a supernatural assassin in Dishonored 2 – the next chapter in the award-winning Dishonored saga by Arkane Studios. Play your way in a world where mysticism and industry collide. Will you choose to play as Empress Emily Kaldwin or the Royal Protector, Corvo Attano? Will you stalk your way through the game unseen, make full use of its brutal combat system, or use a blend of both? How will you combine your character’s unique set of powers, weapons and gadgets to eliminate your enemies? The story responds to your choices, leading to intriguing outcomes, as you play through each of the game’s hand-crafted missions.

Dishonored 2 will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC globally on November 11, 2016.

Next-up is BioWare’s fourth installment in the Mass Effect franchise.

 

A whole new galaxy awaits for you to explore. Mass Effect: Andromeda pushes the boundaries of known space into the next generation, delivering distant star systems with remote and hostile planets ripe for discovery.

EA also had a presentation for their Star Wars games, including a first look at the brand new one coming from Visceral Games that looks have more a single player element to it.

These experiences will explore different Star Wars eras in different gaming genres on different platforms.

Miscrosoft’s Titanfall 2 has also landed both single player and multiplayer trailers.

 

Pilot and Titan unite as never before in Respawn Entertainment’s highly anticipated Titanfall® 2. Featuring a crafted single player campaign that explores the unique bond between man and machine, players will step on to The Frontier as a Militia rifleman with aspirations of becoming a Pilot. In multiplayer, Titanfall 2 delivers best-in-class shooter gameplay backed by more depth and variety including new Titans – each with their own unique abilities, a deeper set of Pilot abilities, an expanded arsenal of weapons, more customization options, and a robust progression system.

Titanfall 2 will be available on October 28 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Origin for PC.

 

In multiplayer, Titanfall 2 delivers best-in-class shooter gameplay backed by more depth and variety including new Titans – each with their own unique abilities, a deeper set of Pilot abilities, an expanded arsenal of weapons, more customization options, and a robust progression system.

Although, the reveal trailer and featurette for Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs 2 leaked early, here’s what they also presented at E3.

 

Watch_Dogs 2 is an open world action-adventure game where the San Francisco Bay Area is your living playground and hacking is your weapon to bend the city – and its people – to your will.
