‘Arrow’ Producer Greg Berlanti Developing a ‘Black Lightning’ Live-Action Series

Today, Deadline is reporting that DCTV guru Greg Berlanti is in the works on developing yet another DC Comics character for television. According to the site the Arrow, Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow producer along with Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil is hard at work to develop Black Lightning into a live-action series.

“Black Lightning centers on Jefferson Pierce. He made his choice: he hung up the suit and his secret identity years ago, but with a daughter hell-bent on justice and a star student being recruited by a local gang, he’ll be pulled back into the fight as the wanted vigilante and DC legend — Black Lightning.

Not much is known on the shows progress or if it will even land on The CW like all the other shows. It’s also unknown if this show will be connected to ever growing DCTV universe but it most likely will with Greg Berlanti at the helm. Not sure what ever happened to the Static Shock live action show but that was once rumored to be in-development as well…
