‘Legend of Tarzan’ Scribe Adam Cozad Eyed To Pen ‘Suicide Squad 2’

Warner Brothers is on the fast-track to get Suicide Squad 2 into production. Even though the film had extremely poor reviews the film grossed over $745 million worldwide which fast-tracked its own sequel. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that The Legend of Tarzan and Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit scribe Adam Cozad is in talks to pen the script. This comes after director and writer David Ayer left the sequel to focus on Gotham City Sirens alongside Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn.

No director is attached to this project but Mel Gibson (Hacksaw Ridge) is still being looked at by the studio as a possibility. The studio wants to nail down a story before offering the gig to a director. Something they skipped over during the original film when David Ayer was only given 6 weeks to write the original film.
