Daredevil season three is said be a lose adaptation of Frank Miller’s Born Again run. Other than that we don’t know much about the overall direction of the third season.
There was an interesting rumor from our friends at ThatHashtagShow that vigilante Stanley Carter aka Sin Eater might be a villain in the series.
They also reported last month that the FBI will play a big role in the series via character breakdowns for multiple agent roles. The FBI could be used similar to the Department of Homeland Security in The Punisher, an entry point for new characters.
Omega Underground has another tidbit to share about the series.
We’ve learned that a character referred to as Mr. Rogan will be seeking re-election as Hell’s Kitchen City Councilman. The name Rogan might not ring any bells but he is Wilson Fisk’s trusted doctor. In the series, this character was changed to Doctor Rosenberg, briefly appearing in season one.
This version of Rogan sounds like the character Randolph Cherryh , who was Fisk’s city council stooge and eventually became Mayor of New York City.
Randolph has had run-ins with Daredevil and Heroes For Hire, he was also a client of attorney Jeri Hogarth (Carrie-Anne Moss). However, Senator Randolph Cherryh has already made his series debut played by Jonathan Walker. A reason we think Rogan is a new character.
If Fisk was freed from prison (he has his ways) and had the backing of a new Mayor, he’d likely regain most of his power and influence in the criminal world rather quickly. Also, while Murdock is on the mend likely has the time to do so.
In the comics, Wilson was recently elected as the Mayor of New York City. As Mayor he has the District Attorney office start building cases against New York based superheroes. Matt Murdock happens to be working for the DA at this point. A Mayor Rogan working on behalf of Fisk could also attempt starting DA cases against Daredevil.
We know that Matt and Foggy have since broken up their legal partnership in Defenders. Daredevil might also be in big trouble for kidnapping and possible terrorism charges from Defenders which might be where the FBI factors into the plot.
