‘Fault in Our Stars’ Scribes Re-Team with Director Josh Boone on X-Men spinoff ‘New Mutants’

Today, it was announced by The Hollywood Reporter that The Fault in Our Stars writers Scott Neustadter & Michael H. Weber have come on board to pen the latest draft of the upcoming X-Men spin-off film New Mutants. They will be taking over writing duties from director Josh Boone who also directed The Fault in Our Stars. The two also penned other coming-of-age teen romance films like 500 Days of Summer, The Spectacular Now and Paper Towns.

So far not much is known on the project beside that it will indeed be a part of the X-Men universe. The site goes onto confirm that the team lineup will indeed consist of the mutants Danielle Moonstar, Wolfsbane, Sunspot, Cannonball, and Magik.
