‘Moonlight’ Breakout Star Trevante Rhodes Joins Shane Black’s ‘The Predator’

Hollywood Reporter has learned of a third actor who has joined the cast of Shane Black‘s The Predator. The film already stars Boyd Holbrook and Olivia Munn in lead roles.

Moonlight‘s breakout star Trevante Rhodes will join the fight in an undisclosed role.

We suspect Rhodes will be playing one of Boyd’s fellow special forces soldiers. Rhodes recently co-starred with Chris Hemsworth in the war drama Horse Soldiers.

There had been some behind the scenes chatter of trying to get Arnold Schwarzenegger to return as his character Dutch. Black is said to have met with Arnold about the potential role but we don’t know if he’ll be in the final film.

Production on The Predator is set to begin shooting this February in Vancouver with a release date slated for February 9th, 2018.
