Director Matt Reeves Going To Be Rewriting ‘The Batman’ From Scratch

Even though the fantastic film War for the Planet of Apes just premiered; many reporters constantly keep asking director Matt Reeves about his next project The Batman. The director of course reiterates his love for the character and much like Caesar, it will be a personal hero story with struggle and turmoil.

Now while speaking on MTV’s “Happy Sad Confused” podcast  the director reveals that he is starting fresh on the script that was previously co-written by Ben Affleck & Geoff Johns. “No, it’s a new story. It’s just starting again. I’m excited about it. I think it’s going to be really cool.”

Now originally Joe Manganiello was cast last year by Affleck to star as the villain Deathstroke. It’s unclear if that entire story has been scrapped as well. Which would be extremely unfortunate. But again that has yet to be confirmed.

Stay tuned as the story develops…
