UPDATE: ‘Captain Marvel’ Production Moves From Atlanta To LA

Variety and other trades recently confirmed that Marvel Studios would be moving Captain Marvel from Atlanta, Georgia to the state of California.

We’ve discovered like Bumblebee, Captain Marvel will be shooting primarily in Los Angeles starting on January 8th (as we’ve previously revealed). The state has been noticing the massive exodus of film productions to Georgia and other states with tax incentives ($20 million to Captain Marvel) and they’ve figured out a way to bring back Marvel.

It’s also expected that Marvel will shoot on locations on some Air Force bases.

Kevin Feige has already confirmed a two-eyed Nick Fury played by a returning Samuel L. Jackson (confirming our reporting), a 90s setting, and that the film will include the Kree-Skrull War while at San Diego Comic-Con.

Captain Marvel will shoot between January-May of next year with a release date set for March 8th, 2019.
