Screenwriter Jack Thorne Boards ‘Star Wars: Episode IX’

Today, The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Wonder screenwriter Jack Thorne has boarded Star Wars Episode 9 to pen the script. Originally, director Colin Trevorrow and his longtime screenwriting partner Derek Connolly were hired to pen the script. However, it’s unknown how extensive the rewrites will be at this time.

Episode 8 director Rian Johnson penned and directed this year’s sequel to The Force Awakens titled The Last Jedi. Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver and Oscar Isaac are expected to return but the site points out you never know who a Star Wars movie may kill off, so don’t get too comfortable.
