Sony’s ‘Venom’ Movie Begins Hiring Atlanta Crew Members

Omega Underground previously confirmed that Venom aka Antidote would be shooting in Atlanta and New York City this fall. The solo spinoff will be directed by Zombieland’s Ruben Fleischer and Tom Hardy starring as Eddie Brock.

A new call for Atlanta crew members further cements a fall shoot for the Spider-Man spinoff. Our good friends over at ProjectCasting have learned that Sony is now seeking crew members for the Atlanta shoot.

Columbia Pictures is now accepting resumes for all crew positions. As a result, producers are looking for production assistants, grips, gaffers, make-up artists, stylists, wardrobe artists, and other crew members to work on the new feature film.

We had learned that Venom was eyeing a September 1st start. However, without a full crew and cast assembled at this point it’s looking doubtful that will be the exact start date. I wouldn’t be shocked if the start is pushed closer to late September or October.

Riz Ahmed is reportedly in talks for a role.

Carnage and Anne Weying (She-Venom) are expected to be other characters in the film.

Venom is set for release on October 5th, 2018.
