Working Title for Pokemon’s ‘Detective Pikachu’ Live-Action Movie Revealed

Last year The Pokemon Company announced it had struck a deal with Lionsgate to develop the first live-action Pokemon movie ever. This was based on the massive success of the mobile game Pokemon GO. It was announced that the movie wouldn’t be based on the cartoon or manga which follows protagonist’s Ash or Red on their adventures to become a Pokemon Master. It would however follow a small Japanese only min game titled Detective Pikachu.

Now we at Omega Underground have learned through a recent production listing that the upcoming working title for Detective Pikachu would be called Gumshoe. And to put it simply gumshoe is just another name for detective. However, it is unknown when production or casting will begin on this upcoming adaptation. Monsters vs Aliens director Rob Letterman is attached to direct.

Detective Pikachu has no set release date
