‘John Wick Chapter 3’ Aims For Summer Release In May 2019

Today, Lionsgate has announced that they’ll be looking to release the third installment of the John Wick titled John Wick Chapter 3 on May 17th, 2019.

The first and second films were released in the fall and winter, so it will be the first time the franchise will attempt to swim with the big dogs. The move is likely in response to Star Wars: Episode IX moving to December 2019, giving the R-rated action flick some breathing room.

Chapter 3 is expected to seeing John with a massive global contract on his head and will likely have to go head-to-head with the High Table to have to removed. The High Table is the shadowy council that runs this network of assassins and keeps crime syndicates under their thumb.

Keanu Reeves along with director Chad Shahelski and writer Derek Kolstad are currently the only confirmed returners.
