Sony’s ‘Venom’ Seeking Asian Extras – Are We Getting A Locale In Asia?

While Sony has yet to make official casting announcements for their Venom movie outside of Tom Hardy, they are still seeking to fill out extras and other roles in the meantime.

Omega Underground previously learned that mercenaries will play a role in the story and now we might have another kernel of info. The Atlanta production is now seeking Asian extras.

-Background Extras

-Males and Females (18-80)

Shooting will take place between October to February in Atlanta.

It’s interesting that the first casting call for regular extras is specifically asking for Asian actors. This might suggest that some of the film could be set in an undisclosed Asian country. A previous casting call was seeking men and women to play mercenaries, it might suggest that there could be a mercenary mission taking place in Asia. Speculation on our part, of course, but casting calls do seem to reveal potential aspects of the film.

Venom will begin filming on October 23rd until sometime in February. Sony has given the spinoff a release date of October 5th, 2018.
