Disney Recruits ‘Jungle Book’ Special Effects Supervisor For ‘Jungle Cruise’

We’ve been detailing some updates concerning Disney’s upcoming movie Jungle Cruise based on their theme park ride. Our newest tidbit concerns the film’s special effects team.

The production has hired as special effects supervisor JD Schwalm. This should be a sigh of relief as he previously worked on The Jungle Book.

His other special effects credits include Fate of The Furious, Rampage, Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle, Star Trek: Into Darkness, The Wolverine, Spider-Man 2, and Pirates of The Caribbean: At World’s End.

The film starring Dwayne Johnson will see Jaume Collet-Serra directing and Flavio Labiano as cinematographer with production set for Atlanta. It’s said shooting will begin in April.
