CONFIRMED: ‘Gambit’ Production Start In New Orleans Is Bumped To March

Breaking! There is yet another production update concerning Gambit aka Forevermore.

Omega Underground has confirmed from an official source that Gambit’s production start has been bumped to March and we’ve also confirmed our previous reporting that they’ll indeed shoot the film in New Orleans, Louisana. Previously, we revealed that production was expected to take place between February and July, but with this new bump to March suggests the wrap date will be between July-August.

This likely means that stage work will take place at Big Easy Studios as we also pointed out. Fox had previously used the production space for Logan and Dawn of The Planet of The Apes.

There is a now an open call for local crew members to work on the film. A couple crew members we’ve previously mentioned that have already been hired include production designer Jess Gonchor (True Grit, No Country For Old Men), cinematographer Bojan Bazelli (The Ring), and concept artist/designer Aaron Sims (Stranger Things, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, It).

Gore Verbinski will direct Channing Tatum as Gambit with Lizzy Caplan reportedly in the mix for the female lead.

Gambit has been slated for release on February 14th, 2019.
