Tiffany Haddish’s Comic Book Flick ‘The Kitchen’ Starts Shooting This May In NYC

It was recently announced that Warner Bros. was moving forward with a live-action film based on the comic book The Kitchen. Screenwriter Andrea Berloff (Straight Outta Compton, Legend of Conan) will be making her directorial debut with Tiffany Haddish and Melissa McCarthy attached for roles.

The wives of New York gangsters in Hell’s Kitchen in the 1970s continue to operate their husbands’ rackets after they’re locked up in prison.

Omega Underground has learned that filming on the comic book film will begin on May 7th in New York City and is expected to wrap sometime in July.

I know people were hoping that Haddish would be taking a role in Sony’s Men In Black sequel shooting in the United Kingdom over the summer, but that seems very unlikely with this news.

The Kitchen is currently without a release date.
