‘Black Widow’ Solo Film Expected to be a Prequel

Most would say it’s about time for Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow to finally have her own solo film. Appearing in 5 other massive films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but never garnering a movie of her own. But alas the fans have spoken and Marvel has answered. Hiring Jac Schaeffer to write a script the development process begins.

The film is expected to be a prequel set about a decade and a half after the fall of the Soviet Union according to That Hashtag Show. This would be yet be taking place before the events of Iron Man 2 leaving lots of wiggle room for story development hopefully giving us more insight on the Budapest incident with Agent Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner). Sebastian Stan is also expected to reprise the role of The Winter Soldier in the film as well.
