3 Must-Have Portable Tech for Campers

The essence of camping is spending time in the great outdoors with friends, family and loved ones and enjoying each other’s company.

But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t pack essential tech gear for safety and quality of life reasons.

Some things you can bring are a given, e.g., a power bank for instance, but have you thought about bringing a portable food warmer so you can enjoy hot, piping soup or beans without having to make fire?

Here are a few more items to consider.

1. A Long-Lasting Lamp or Lantern

You’ll definitely need a reliable source of light come night time, but an ordinary torch or flashlight just won’t cut it. In instances where it’s not advisable (or allowed) to light a fire, having a lamp is the next best thing.

Long-lasting lanterns are rated tough and can run for a month or so without needing a charge. These items are worth their weight in gold, especially for campers and weekend warriors who don’t want to be left in the dark.

2. A Battery Powered Lunch Box

They’re small, convenient and come with a feature you never knew you needed. A personal food warmer is a nice addition to your camping gear as it allows you to enjoy your food more. That means no more cold sandwiches, sausages or stew so you can eat with absolute gusto even without cooking equipment.

3. Bluetooth Speakers

Don’t bring just any Bluetooth speaker to a camp-out; it should be rain-proof, moisture-proof and waterproof to be able to survive outdoor environments.

Also, it should be loud enough that it can be heard a reasonable distance. Additional features, such as a rugged build and the ability to be attached to a carabiner or straps are a welcome bonus.

Sometimes a campfire mood calls for some music, and these devices are just the things you’ll need.
