How to Create Goals for the Last Stretch of the Year: It’s Never too Late to Begin

Checklist and calendar representing end-of-year goal setting and planning for success

With a couple months left in 2026, we have to set something we want to achieve for the next. From small to big goals, it does not matter and it is not too late or early to begin. Here are some ways to make goals for the remaining months of the year and for the new year ahead.

Identify Goals

Create goals for yourself. It can be anything: striving to be more consistent, start being healthier, being more disciplined, earn more money, or invest in a modern condo like Lentor Signature. This gives you a clear idea of what you want to achieve for next year, and make sure that your action plan is aligned with those goals you have established.

Develop Routine

Instead of relying on last minute bursts of motivation and energy, construct a routine and system that works well with you to prevent burnout and thinking of your goals as a chore. Routine also allows for direction and encouragement, letting you actually enjoy the process and remain consistent.

Use a Different Approach

If you approached this year with guns out blazing and it did not work, maybe change your approach to how you want to reach your goals this year. Take some time to reflect on what didn’t work and what you gained during the year. Create structure and routine to make it likelier to stick with you and find 3 goals that you deem most important for you to make it reachable and prevent burnout.

Use The Last Few Months as Warmup

With the days counting down to next year, it is not too early to begin on your goals. In fact you could start right now. Instead of pressuring yourself to be better immediately, treat the last months of this year as a prelude or warmup to get you on track with your goals and to stay consistent.
