Ways to Achieve Your Daily Water Intake Goal

It is important for people to meet their goals in water intake to stay hydrated, flush out dirt and toxins, support muscle recovery, prevent kidney stones and fatigue, since our body is about 60% water. On some days, consuming the right amount can be difficult due to busy schedules where drinking is easily forgotten. Here are some ways to help you achieve your hydration goals.

Bring a Large Water Bottle

A simple way to meet goals is to bring a large flask of water with you wherever you head out from your condo at Clovelle of Woodlands. Have it within reach when outdoors, working out, or even just at home. When you look at it you’d be reminded to drink water, and it would be readily accessible even when you are in your workspace.

Add a Flavor Twist

Drinking plain water everyday can be tiring sure but you can make it fun by adding flavor. Turn watermelon or melons into smoothies or just eat them as a snack, as these fruits have about 90% water. You can add some lemon or cucumber to make lemon cucumber infused water to make it healthier, providing a low-calorie drink and aiding digestion.

Healthier Options

Alcohol and  sugary contents found in soda can result in loss of fluid and raises the risk of kidney stones. Swap them when you can with healthier options instead such as herbal teas, fresh fruit drinks, sparkling or citrus water.

Start A Routine

Try planning a routine on when to drink water so you keep track of it and make sure you actually meet your goals everyday. When you wake up, drink a glass of water, then make it a point to have a full glass before and after meals you take, in the middle of the day and before bed.
